Teeth, Housefly

The type of teeth that have been given to each animal are part of the magnificent preparation of nutrition for every living thing. But some animals are given other tools to process the nutrition that they need.

The housefly doesn’t have any teeth or other advanced chewing parts.  The tongue of the housefly is created like a sponge. Sponging means that the mouth part can absorb liquid food and send it to the esophagus. The housefly is able to eat solid food by releasing saliva and dabbing it over the food. As the saliva dissolves the food, the sponging mouth part absorbs the liquid food.
