Echolocation

Echo-location means locating an object using sound. Some animals have been Given the gift of echolocation to be able to find their food. Instead of seeing the location of their food, they can sense the location by the echo that it gives off when they send out certain decibel level sound from their bodies.

Bats, dolphins, some whales, porpoises, and the shrew are some animals known to use echolocation. Sonar used in submarines was copied from animals’ inborn trait of echolocation.
