Chicken’s eyelids

Did you know that a chicken’s eyelid closes from the bottom up?

Tha Gemara Shabbos 77b says that Hashem made it that way because the chicken usually sits on high places and when harmful smoke rises it may enter its eyes. When the eyelid closes from the bottom, the smoke can’t get in to harm the chicken!
