Yaakov meets Eisav

As Yaakov came closer to meet Eisav, he crossed the ford of Yabba with his two wives, two handmaidens and 11 sons [Bereishis 32:23].  

Question: Including Yaakov, how many people crossed the river?

Answer: 1 + 2 + 2 + 11 = 16 people
